Five weeknight dinners my TM7 makes while I do homework duty

A bowl of mushroom risotto with fresh basil and garlic

6pm on a school night is chaos in most houses. Someone needs help with maths, someone is hungry, and nobody has thought about dinner. These are the five meals I lean on when the clock is against me.

1. Butter chicken

The TM7 blitzes the spices, onion and garlic, then cooks the sauce while you get on with your evening. Serve it with rice steamed in the basket at the same time.

2. Mushroom risotto

No standing and stirring for half an hour. The machine stirs for you, so it comes out creamy every time.

3. Spag bol

Chop the veggies, brown the mince and simmer the sauce, all in one bowl. Hide extra carrot and zucchini in it. The kids won't notice.

4. Pumpkin soup and fresh bread

Make the dough first, let it rise, then cook the soup. It feels fancy and it's mostly hands-off.

5. Fried rice

My favourite way to use up leftovers. It's quick, it's cheap and everyone eats it.

The bit that makes it work

Guided cooking. The recipe shows up on the screen, the machine sets the time, speed and temperature, and you follow along. That's why my non-cooking friends end up loving it most.
